C2C Review from Toy Parker
-The entire experience has been beyond wonderful! The scouts at C2C Scouting not
only work great together to bring out the best in us in terms of quality
and right-on-time feedback/coaching for modelling and acting pursuits
but their support is priceless! Their support staff and photographer
also helped to enhance an already amazing experience! I needed an
updated portfolio and my daughter needed her first professional
portfolio. For a working Mom on a budget, that was crucial. God knows
the C2C Scouting team was just what the doctor ordered!
Our portfolios are what I consider Hollywood ready!! (smile) Quality
staff, quality service and consultation, quality photos, quality support
-- at an affordable price-- what more can one really ask for?
I'm working on my own television show and now I have plenty of photos to
choose from for my advertising because I own the rights to my photos
and my daughter's photos - which is equally as important as everything
else I've mentioned. Danielle and Lance - you are the absolute best and
we appreciate you so very much! My daughter's first photo shoot was
amazing!! In the meantime, we hope to make history landing our own
individual contracts in the state competition as a first mother and
daughter duo competing representing our mall! We will make you both
proud! Apologies for the long review but these words here cannot express how
deeply our experience meant to us and even helped my daughter to know
for sure that she has what it takes to push forward to achieve in the
world of modeling and acting on a professional level. At her tender age,
that is priceless and that means everything to me. Her excitement and
happiness this weekend is a memory we both will always cherish. We thank
you C2C Scouting for amazing memories that will last a lifetime!!
C2C Scouting Review from Rita Shaver
-
Thank you for sending Doug & Ashley to
Charlotte, NC as our Emcee, Host & Photographer Model Mentor
Extra-ordinaire. I cannot thank you enough for the positive experience
my daughter had. She has always disliked having her photo taken but
after having that photo shoot with Doug, she couldn't stop the smiles
and talking about how much she learned in such a little time. She will
never again be shy in front of the camera..."shutters were opened".....
and maybe a good bit more confident in life. After we saw the pictures
he took, She and I BOTH WERE STUNNED. Her experience with such a gifted
photographer and artist was absolutely PRICELESS

What should go in a Model Bag?
A model should be prepared at all times when out on castings and shoots. Below are the top things that should be included in their Model Bag....
Lip
Balm/Gloss – Keep your lips moisturized.
Basic Makeup Kit – Foundation, press powder, mascara, eyeliner, eye drops.
Hair Products – Bobby Pins, Hair Spray, Brush, Comb
Nude Bra/Undergarments – Prevent your undergarments from clashing with clothes. Make sure you have a strapless bra and boy cut underwear too.
Portfolio/Headshots – ALWAYS have your portfolio even if you’ve already booked the job. If you don’t have a portfolio, work on getting one shot by a professional photographer.
Pumps – At least 4 inches. A client may ask you to work for them.
Comp Cards – Leave something with the client or crew after they’ve reviewed your portfolio.
Vouchers (agency models only) – This ensures you get paid from the client.
Panty Liners – Don’t be embarrassed and caught off guard. You never know. Be prepared.
Thank You Cards (blank) – Always thank the people you work with. Get their names beforehand. Handwriting a special note gives you bonus points. Try your local drug store. They usually have a pack of 10.
Bottled Water – Keeps you hydrated.
Directions to set – This will prevent you from arriving late. No one likes a late model. Try Google Maps.
Cell Phone Charger – Its rude to be on your cell while shooting however make sure your cell is charging while you work. Put it on silent or turn off completely.
Book/Tablet/MP3 Player: You may have a long downtime. This will keep you from becoming bored.
Mouth Wash/Breath Mints – Keep your breath fresh. NO GUM!"
To add to the nude undergarments, make sure they are seamless. Try to find a nude seamless thong and nude seamless boy shorts. Also get a nude convertible bra that can be strapless or used with straps - make sure the cups are smooth, no lace or trip that could show through clothing

10 Steps to Walking The Runway
1 It doesn't matter if you're comfortable. Choose the right shoes. If you're not used to walking in heels, you'll learn quickly. If the shoes are new, scratch the soles with
scissors so that they will not slip when they touch the floor.
Alternatively, you can cover the sole of the shoe with masking tape, if
you don't want to scratch your shoes. Whatever you do, don't wear flip
flops!
2 Learn to stand like a supermodel. Practice your posture, throw your shoulders back and down, and push your hips slightly
forward. It might create the illusion that you're leaning forward a
little, rather than leaning back in an unwelcoming pose. You should be
able to balance a book on the top of your head.
3 Place the ball of your foot
down first (not the toes), then your heel, but keep most of your weight
balanced on the ball of your foot rather than on the heel. It may
feel strange, but keeping much of your weight on the ball of the foot
gives you more of an elegant stride than a clunky (stepped down) heel-
weighted walk would. It's almost like walking on your tippy-toes, the
way ballerinas do, but more natural.
4 Put one foot in front of the other (literally).
Toes should face forwards. Your footprints should form a zigzag. When
done quickly, this gives the body that characteristic swing. You ankles
should never bump, this is painful and may make you fall!
5 Make your stride look long
and controlled by lifting your legs almost in the same fashion a horse
would while doing trotting leg extensions. For each stride, you want
to lift your foot a good distance off the ground (with a bend in the
knee) and then place it down a good distance in front of the supporting
leg, with a stride longer than a normal walk would have. Don't make your
strides too large as this will make you look awkward and ungraceful,
but make sure you take large enough steps, rather than just baby steps.
Remember to turn with your hip. It's hard to describe but easy to do.
6 Look straight forward, capturing the essence of the clothes you're wearing with the expression on your face.
Focus on an object straight ahead of you (but don't stare at a
viewer...that is creepy). Try to smize (smile with you eyes). This will
give a fierce look to your face and to your walk. Keep your chin level
and your eyes up - you want the spectators to see your face. Keep your
head and shoulders still as your body moves down the runway. Your head
and shoulder should feel a little like a sturdy coat hanger, and things
should swing from there. Don't swing your shoulders, and don't over
exagerate arm movements. Do make sure, however, that your hips swing
more than they would usually. This may take some practice to look good.
When the beats to your music are slower, swing your hips more and slow
your pace. When you make your turn at the end, make sure your left foot
is in front as you pause for a beat or double beat in your music. Your
hips, shoulders, and feet should be facing the side of the runway as
your head is turned to look straight on at the audience over your
shoulder. After pausing or posing for a beat, pivot your feet back
towards the curtain or glass, pick up your front foot first (your right
foot), and continue walking. Make sure that your face is the last thing
to turn away from the audience.
7 Fingers naturally fidget or fist up when you're nervous, but don't let them!
It will be a bigger distraction than you realize. Just let them hang
down, relaxed. Shaking your hands out before you walk will help your
fingers relax and look more natural.
8 Develop your own signature walk.
There's no simple formula for walking the runway, and what will
ultimately make you stand out is not only how well you can move your
body but also how much of your own personality you can inject into your
performance to make it memorable. The best way to create your own unique
style is to experiment, practice, and get feedback (even if it means
taking some constructive criticism).
9 Most importantly, you must
walk and strut your stuff like you know you're beautiful and you know
that you're smokin' hot, and all the young men out there are going to be
going crazy when they see you!. Self-doubt and low self-esteem can be damaging and there's nothing prettier than a girl with confidence.
10 Strut to the beat! When you have your walk down, hit the music a strut to the beat.
